Alejandro Müller Medina is 20 years old, is from Costa Teguise, and is studying Computer Engineering in Seville. His German surname arrived in Lanzarote at the hands of his grandfather Alex Muller, who had clothing stores on the island and founded the mythical pub Waikiki in Puerto del Carmen.

Alejandro's passion for new technologies began at a very young age; his father is also a computer scientist, and at just 13 years old, while studying at the Arenas Internacional School in Lanzarote, he developed a web system to register student entries and exits in the library

“I saw the teachers making notes on paper and I realized I had the ability to transform the system, and I did it for fun, I saw the problem and developed a digitized system,” shares the computer science student.

Currently, Alejandro Müller has his own consultancy, Lava Digital, and has launched the reservation management software for restaurants and tourist businesses Sirvo, powered by Artificial Intelligence, and the latest technologies

Müller's system, which is already being used by several restaurants in Lanzarote, has more functionalities than giants in the sector such as TheFork or CoverManager, and costs much less money.

"The restaurant saved more than 400 euros that month”

“We did a twenty-day test with one of our clients, the restaurant El Cangrejo Rojo in Puerto del Carmen,” disabling one of the two giants mentioned before on Google, to which the restaurant was subscribed, replacing it with Sirvo.

“We compared data with the previous year and found that total reservations remained the same, and the restaurant saved more than 400 euros that month,” shares Müller.

Among Sirvo's functionalities that its competitors lack, the entrepreneur from Costa Teguise highlights “a WhatsApp agent with AI that informs you about the menu, the wines, and manages reservations 24/7: a table reservation deposit system that is fully customizable to eliminate no-shows,” explains Muller.

“Our deposit system, I personally haven't seen anything like it in any competitor, can be configured according to the restaurant's preferences regarding which days or hours a deposit must be paid to reserve a table” and thus reduce the impact of no-shows on the restaurant's accounts.

A flat-price plan that "doesn't charge per diner"

Sirvo's Pro plan is flat-priced, 149 euros per month, much cheaper than its competitors, despite including more innovation, because "it doesn't charge money per diner" as some of its competitors do.

Müller's system also has an unlimited plan, whose price varies depending on the number of restaurants, for the multi-business management of hotel groups so that "they can manage different restaurants with a single unified account where, for example, they can see which customers have been to their other restaurants and how to retain them".

Sirvo has a universal vocation but, "right now we are positioning ourselves in Lanzarote, the place where I was born and where I really know the needs of the hospitality industry, to then expand to all of the Canary Islands and then nationally".

If everything goes according to plan, Müller confirms that he will hire commercial, technical support, and development profiles: "people with a desire to innovate, creative, young talent".
