According to the forecasts of the human resources company Randstad, labor hiring for Easter in the Canary Islands will grow by 22.6% compared to the same period last year.
If in 2022 there were 3,173 contracts during Easter in the archipelago, Randstad estimates that this year there will be 3,890.
Thus, the Canary Islands will be the third region in the country where hiring will increase the most compared to last year. The largest increases will occur in the Balearic Islands (25.1%), Navarra (23.4%).
In contrast, the most discreet increases will take place in Extremadura (11.3%), La Rioja (10%) and the Region of Murcia (9.3%).
For the country as a whole, Randstad predicts that Easter will generate around 84,750 contracts in total, 17.1% more than a year ago, when 72,399 were signed. Even so, this volume is still 27% lower than the 116,115 contracts registered in 2019, before the outbreak of the pandemic.
In absolute terms, the Randstad report highlights that Andalusia (18,510), Catalonia (11,370) and the Community of Madrid (10,710) are the regions where more professionals will be incorporated, since they account for nearly 48% of the total Easter hiring.
