Record number of Social Security affiliates in Lanzarote, about to reach 75,000 contributors

All municipalities increased the number of contributors in June, except Haría, which maintains the same figure as the previous month

Lanzarote closed the month of June with 74,350 members of Social Security, 215 more than in May, according to data from the Lanzarote Data Center with figures from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).

This is a historical record of contributors on the island, which is about to reach 75,000 members of the Public Institute. In the last year, Lanzarote has added more than 3,700 contributors.

By municipalities, Tías concentrates the largest increase in contributors in June compared to the previous month with 70 people, which makes its total number of Social Security affiliates 9,235.

Closely followed by Arrecife, which adds 65 registered in the lists of the Public Institute and thus reaches 31,080 members.

For its part, in the municipality of San Bartolomé it increased by 40 contributors, which translates into a total of 9,265 people registered in Social Security.

Teguise also continues to increase its number of affiliates, in June there were 35 people, with a total sum of 10,815 contributors.

Yaiza and Tinajo registered 10 and 15 people more respectively, which means a total of 8,490 people in the south and 3,205 in Tinajo.

On the other hand, the municipality of Haría did not register variations with respect to the month of May, so it remains with 2,260 contributors to the Public Institute.
