Lanzarote lost 385 affiliations to Social Security in August

The most affected municipalities on the island have been San Bartolomé and Tinajo, followed by Yaiza

The number of affiliations to Social Security in Lanzarote fell in August by 385 people to 71,105 at present

All municipalities have experienced declines. The largest drop has been recorded in San Bartolomé, where 80 contributors have been lost. Next is Tinajo, where there are 79 fewer contributors to Social Security.

Yaiza and Tías have lost 66 and 61 affiliates respectively, while in Teguise there have been 56. The municipality of Haría lost 29 contributors and Arrecife 14

By sectors, the largest drop in the number of affiliates occurred in the area of public administration, where 181 losses were recorded. 

Next, jobs related to administrative activities reduced their number of contributors by 95 people.

There were also notable declines in the sectors of construction (49); hospitality (48) and manufacturing industry (47). In agriculture, 13 contributors were lost.
