TUI UK announced this Monday on its website that it will suspend its vacation programs with departures from England and Wales from November 5 to December 2 following the announcement by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson that a new lockdown will be established in the face of the advance of this second wave of coronavirus infections.
It so happens that TUI UK had resumed its operations to the Canary Islands at the end of October, after the United Kingdom included the Canary Islands in the safe corridors.
The company informs on its website that from 00:01 on Thursday, November 5, it will cancel all package trips, including those with third-party flights, departing from England and Wales scheduled between Thursday, November 5 and Wednesday, December 2.
According to the tour operator, affected customers will be contacted, in the order of the departure date, and will be offered the options of modifying their reservation with an incentive, receiving an ATOL-protected refund credit voucher with a booking incentive, or canceling and receiving a full cash refund.
The company informs that customers who are currently on vacation can continue to enjoy their trip as planned.
TUI also indicates that since the current regulations have been implemented only in England and Wales, all operations departing from Scotland will continue to operate as planned, "unless customers are proactively contacted and told otherwise."
