The price of fuel continues to rise unstoppably in Lanzarote, as the figures have risen up to 10 cents in the month of June, according to data from the Ministry's Geoportal of Hydrocarbons, collected by the Lanzarote Data Center.
Specifically, the average price of gasoline 95 reaches 1.648 euros per liter in the last week of June, compared to 1.553 at the beginning of the month. Meanwhile, gasoline 98 already costs 1.754 euros, compared to 1.669 euros that it cost the first week of June, and, if the data of diesel is taken into account, it rises to 1.638 euros per liter, 12 cents more than at the beginning of the month, when a figure of 1.512 euros was recorded.
However, it is important to note that this increase is even more pronounced if compared to the data from the beginning of the year, when prices revolved around 1.226 euros for gasoline 95, 1.307 euros for gasoline 98 and 1.150 for diesel. This represents a difference of more than 40 cents in just six months.
In addition, the cost of fuel in June already completely eats up the 20-cent discount promoted by the Government, since in these last two months they have become even more expensive. Such is the increase in prices, that the Government has decided to extend this discount throughout the summer, until the month of September, due to the large number of trips that take place during the holidays.
