The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa and Banco Santander sign a collaboration agreement to carry out joint actions for the benefit of companies in the demarcation. The reason for the signing was the inauguration of the Santander Room, located in the business incubator of the Chamber of Commerce. The sponsorship of this training room opens the possibility to other future collaborations that may arise from this approach. However, the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and Banco Santander have been collaborating for several years, at the national, regional and island level, through the call for the 'SME of the Year Award' convened by the financial institution together with the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and which is celebrated provincially through the different chambers of the national network.
Last week, His Majesty Felipe VI presented the National SME of the Year 2023 Award to Meltio, an SME from Linares (Jaén), which is revolutionizing the industry with a pioneering method of 3D metal printing. Recently, the deadline for submitting applications for companies that will compete for the Las Palmas SME of the Year Award 2024 has closed.
The territorial director of Banco Santander in the Canary Islands, Beatriz Martínez Ruiz, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote, José Valle Martínez, visited the facilities of the 'La Incubadora' Business Incubator, where the room is located. They also visited the recently opened Digital Coworking space, shortly before signing the collaboration agreement in the Ágora Room, which is part of this new facility.
