The Irish clothing and accessories company, Primark, will open the doors of its new store in Lanzarote on Thursday, June 22nd. Located in the Open Mall shopping center in Arrecife, this is the first Primark store in Lanzarote and the 58th in Spain.
The opening of this establishment with 3,100 square meters of commercial space will create 100 new jobs.
Carlos Inacio, Director of Primark Spain and Portugal, stated: "We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and employees to our new and fantastic store in Lanzarote. This is another exciting moment for Primark, which continues to expand its presence in Spain."
From the Open Mall Lanzarote shopping center, they point out: "We are very proud that such a prestigious international brand has trusted Open Mall Lanzarote to open its first store on the island, multiplying the added value of the shopping center, which will facilitate the achievement of the goals we have set for ourselves."
"From Open Mall Lanzarote, we continue working on attracting the best operators to the shopping center and, therefore, to the island of Lanzarote. The upcoming opening of Primark in Open Mall Lanzarote is proof of our commitment to providing consumers with a different commercial proposal, where visitors can get everything they are looking for in a unique, innovative space adapted to the needs of customers," they conclude.
Last April, Primark launched its new website in Spain, whose purpose is to establish a better connection between online search and in-store purchase.
The new website features thousands of products from Primark's best-selling collections, as well as a renewed design, improved navigation, and a new feature that allows customers to check stock and size availability at their nearest Primark store, including the new store in Lanzarote.
Last year, Primark announced a capital investment of 100 million euros in the Spanish market. This commitment includes 80 million euros in eight new stores and one expansion, and an investment of 20 million in the improvement and renovation of establishments.
Lanzarote is the second of these eight stores, following the opening of Primark Toledo Luz del Tajo last April. More than 1,000 new jobs will be created over the next two years as part of the company's growth plans in the country.
