The deadline for submitting proposals for companies interested in executing the Los Lirios park project, valued at 3,026,865 euros, ends on September 18.

The Tías City Council is financing this project with 2,176,336 euros from its own funds and with 850,529 euros from the Cabildo de Lanzarote's 2024 Municipal Cooperation Plan.

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, and the councilors of Urban Planning and Children's Parks, Ulpiano Calero and Christopher Notario, visited this week the land where this recreation area will be located, "which will be an opportunity to have an area for leisure, sports and recreation outdoors, fundamental for the integral health of people," said Cruz Saavedra.

According to the project, its purpose is the execution of an outdoor park with paths that connect alternative, sports and leisure uses, including areas for staying, recreation and recreation, tree-lined with small support buildings and services for these uses adapted for PRM (Person with Reduced Mobility), which benefit the largest number of citizens possible.

The contemplated uses are described as indoor soccer and handball, skatepark, calisthenics, gardens, recreation areas, bleachers, playground, dog park, parking and support building with bar and public toilets. In addition to these uses, the existing changing rooms in the sports area and a new warehouse module will be expanded.

It is planned to intervene in the existing sports area executed on the northern boundary of the plot, where there is an indoor soccer-handball court with different buildings dedicated to providing support services to the playing area, such as the changing room module, the warehouse and the bleachers.

New changing room and warehouse modules will be executed and a pergola will be installed, actions that will be added to the conditioning of the bleachers and the existing court. The street executed between the sports and educational area will also be completed, creating a dead end with parking spaces, justified later.
