The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers exceeded during the past year 2023 "all historical records" and reached nearly 3.5 million visitors throughout the year. This was reported by the CACT in a press release.

The Entity's counselor, Ángel Vázquez, has stated that "we knew that 2023 was going to be a very good year, but the truth is that all our forecasts have been exceeded."

The visit to the artistic work of César Manrique attracted almost three and a half million people during 2023, specifically, 3,480,119, which is 14.9% more than in 2022. In this way, the 3,028,230 visitors of 2022 and the 3,004,611 of 2018, reference years, were exceeded. "This trend shows that the proposal of the Tourist Centers is more alive than ever and that it continues to arouse the interest of many of the tourists who come to Lanzarote," added Vázquez.

The Montañas del Fuego were the center with the highest influx after receiving 921,343 visitors throughout the past year. Jameos del Agua, for its part, received a total of 883,170 people. The Cueva de los Verdes closes this particular ranking, with 585,975 visitors.

"These are figures that support our management model and that allow us to continue contributing to the development of this island and its people. From now on, it is about not growing in any way to break new records but to continue improving the quality of our experience to grow sustainably."

December

The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers received 254,741 visitors during the past month of December, which represented an increase of 1.48% compared to the same month of last year.

The Montañas del Fuego, Jameos del Agua and the Cueva de los Verdes, the latter with a narrow margin over the Mirador del Río, were, in that order, the most visited centers during December 2023.
