The Lidl supermarket chain announced this Monday, October 28, the expansion of its online store to the Canary Islands for the sale of bazaar items.
The items that can be purchased online from the archipelago belong to the areas of DIY, garden, kitchen, sports, home or fashion, among others, and to own brands of the supermarket chain such as Parkside, Silvercrest, Esmara, Crivit or Lupilu.
The company explains that "since its launch in the peninsula in 2018, the chain's online store has had great acceptance among consumers." In 2022 Lidl expanded online sales to the Balearic Islands and is now doing the same in the Canary Islands.
From now on, residents of the archipelago already have the possibility of making their purchases of bazaar items through the company's website. The fixed shipping costs are 6.99 euros - of which 3.99 euros correspond to standard shipping costs and 3 euros surcharge for shipping to the Canary Islands.
The delivery time is between 5 and 12 business days and returns will be free for customers. "Among the advantages of Lidl's online shopping is the possibility of accessing a wide range of items even when they are not in physical stores."
The supermarket chain has a network of 36 physical stores spread over five of the Canary Islands and plans to open another five establishments by the end of 2025.
