Lanzarote had 5,167 companies registered with Social Security in the month of September. The largest number of these are located in the municipalities of Arrecife (37.1%), Tías (21.15%) and Yaiza (13.6%). This is according to figures published by the Data Center on companies registered with Social Security.
In the last year, companies registered with Social Security have increased by 1.7%, comparing data published in September 2024 and the same month of 2025.
At the same time, the number of registered companies has been continuously increasing for three months, with small increases between 0.3% and 0.5%, after registering a decrease of 1.2% between the months of May and June.
Regarding other islands, Lanzarote is the third in the archipelago with the most companies registered with Social Security, behind only the capital islands, Tenerife (27,695) and Gran Canaria (23,193).
