Lanzarote airport traffic falls 0.6% in March compared to last year

In the set of the airports of the Canary Islands the fall has been greater than in Lanzarote (-0.9%) and in the case of the neighboring island of Fuerteventura (-2.6%)

The Canary Islands airports registered during the month of March a total of 5,018,261 passengers, which represents a 0.9% less than in the same month of 2025.

At César Manrique airport of Lanzarote registered 794,349 passengers, 0.6% less than during the same month last year. 

The Airport of Gran Canaria registered the highest number of passengers, with 1,498,110, which represents an increase of 0.6% compared to March 2025.

It is followed by Tenerife South Airport, with 1,373,730 passengers and a decrease of 0.4%; César Manrique-Lanzarote, with 794,349 (-0.6%); Fuerteventura, with 624,124 (-2.8%); Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 569,492 (-1.7%); La Palma, with 127,356 (-9.2%); El Hierro, with 22,347 (-5.2%); and La Gomera, with 8,753 (-7.9%).

Of the total number of travelers in the Canary Islands, 4,992,204 arrived on commercial flights. Of these, 1,716,812 traveled on domestic flights, 3% less compared to March of last year, and 3,275,392 did so on international flights, 0.4% more.

In the first quarter of the year, the Canary airports have registered 14,157,283 passengers, 0.1% more than in the same period of 2025. Of the 14,093,494 commercial passengers, 4,845,051 traveled on domestic flights (-1.8%) and 9,248,443 did so on international flights, 1.4% more compared to the accumulated total for these months in 2025.
