La Palma airport remains inoperative for the third consecutive day due to ash accumulation

La Palma airport remains inoperative this Monday, for the third consecutive day, due to the accumulation of ash, according to Aena, which indicates that the established protocols are being applied, since the priority is safety.

For this reason, Binter has reported, in a statement, that it is keeping its connections with La Palma canceled for this Monday, at least until 1:00 p.m., although its first flight is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

It adds that this decision is adopted in response to the notification issued by the aeronautical authorities informing them that operations at the airport will be restricted "to emergencies and military use" currently.

In this way, Binter states that it will be reporting any news or changes that may occur, through its usual channels, while recommending that before flying, the updated situation of the flight be consulted in the official media of the airline.
