In recent months, Iberia Express has been progressively reinforcing its air bridge between the Canary Islands and Madrid, which is allowing it to face the peak summer season in Europe with one of its highest capacity levels on record: 403 weekly flights to the archipelago until August 31.
In the case of Lanzarote, it has reached four daily flights, the same as in Fuerteventura. Furthermore, for the first time, Iberia Express will reach 10 daily flights to Tenerife North which, added to another four frequencies to the South, will be 14 flights per direction to Madrid; its largest offering in the archipelago and in no other destination.
In Gran Canaria, Iberia Express will operate up to 11 daily flights per direction, while in La Palma they will offer two daily flights for a good part of the summer peak, which lasts until August 31.
In total, more than 400 weekly flights from Iberia Express, which translate into improved connectivity with all the islands: more frequencies and a greater variety of schedules to facilitate travel for residents, encourage the arrival of visitors to the islands from the Peninsula, and connections from the entire network of international destinations of the Iberia Group.
Iberia Express is part of the Iberia Group and the leader on the routes connecting Madrid with the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands. It offers short and medium-haul flights, both to feed Iberia's long-haul network and to compete efficiently with the low-cost airline segment.
Iberia Express operates a fleet of 22 aircraft and has developed a hybrid business model that includes connecting flights and Business service on all its aircraft. According to the consultancy Cirium, in 2025 Iberia Express has been positioned as the most punctual airline in Europe for the third consecutive year.
