Despite the fact that the price of gasoline in Lanzarote decreased by 2.1% in January compared to December 2023, its current average price of 1.349 euros per liter is the same as the average marked by gas stations on the island of La Palma, according to the Lanzarote Data Center.

Gasoline in Lanzarote always costs more than in Gran Canaria and Tenerife, and occasionally also more than in Fuerteventura, but for prices to be the same as La Palma happens very rarely. The last time was almost ten years ago

And that the extraordinary bonus and temporary fuel price that the Government of the Canary Islands is preparing for the islands of El Hierro, La Gomera and La Palma has not yet entered into force

When it does, gasoline will be cheaper on any of the islands, with the possible exception of Fuerteventura, than in Lanzarote.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, announced in December that the General Budgets of the Canary Islands for 2024 would extend, via amendment, the application of a discount on the price of fuel to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura through direct aid, but for the moment nothing has been specified.
