Proexca, in collaboration with Canarias ZEC, participates in the Canary Islands Games space at the Games from Spain stand of ICEX, in one of the main international video game industry fairs, Gamescom Asia, which is held these days in Singapore.
The objective is to promote the Canary Islands as an attractive audiovisual hub for the video game industry and capture investment opportunities at this meeting, a regional version of the renowned German fair Gamescom, which is held annually in Singapore and brings together developers, publishers, and professionals from the technology sector from around the world.
The fair is designed to be a global platform where the latest trends and advances in the industry are presented, with a focus on two main areas: the B2B (Business-to-Business) space, aimed at establishing strategic alliances and commercial opportunities; and the B2C (Business-to-Consumer) space, dedicated to fans, with exhibitions and competitions.
During the event, Proexca is holding B2B meetings with the aim of highlighting the benefits that the islands offer to companies interested in establishing themselves in the Canary Islands or in co-developing projects with local companies. Among the advantages of the Canary Islands as an audiovisual hub are the availability of local and international talent, excellent connectivity, a quality of life and tax advantages with legal certainty, key aspects for video game studios looking to expand their operations.
In addition to its participation in the exhibition area and networking and matchmaking activities, Proexca will also have an active presence in several key events to promote investment opportunities in the Canary Islands.
In addition, the Canary Islands will participate in activities organized by the ICEX commercial office, such as the visit of Pedro David, a video game influencer, to the Games from Spain pavilion, as well as the visit of the Minister of State for Trade and Industry of Singapore, Alvin Tan, and the Ambassador of Spain in Singapore, Mercedes Alonso.
With this participation, Proexca reinforces its commitment to consolidate the Canary Islands as a benchmark in the audiovisual and technological field, attracting key investments to continue promoting the development of the video game industry in the region and continue with the diversification strategy of the Canary economy.
