After the Spanish low-cost airline, its older sister, Iberia, followed, ranking next on the list with 79.77% punctuality.
Scandinavian airline SAS, low-cost Spanish airline Vueling, and Norwegian round out the top 5 most punctual European airlines for arrivals.
The airline Aeroméxico, for its part, achieved first place among the most punctual airlines in arrivals worldwide in 2024, with a performance rate of 86.7%, while Iberia Express leads the European list with 84.69%, according to a report by the American aviation analytics company Cirium.
In the global ranking, second place goes to Saudi Arabian Airlines (86.35%), followed by American Delta Airlines (83.46%), Latin American LATAM Airlines (82.89%), and Qatar Airways (82.83%).On the other hand, in the United States, the punctuality of Delta, United, and Alaska Airlines stands out, with on-time arrival performance rates of 83.46%, 80.93%, and 79.25%, respectively.
Regarding airports, the Mexico City International Benito Juárez (MEX) is also the most punctual worldwide for arrivals and third for departures.
However, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) was awarded the title of the world's most punctual airport for departures this year, with 86.65% of flights leaving on time
