The first phase of the "Consume Lanzarote" campaign begins this Monday, focused on inviting all businesses on the island to join the initiative, and they can register on the website www.consumelanzarote.es, easily and quickly, by filling out an online registration form.

This website will also function as a directory to promote the digitalization of small local businesses and improve their positioning in the island market.

Subsequently, the second phase of the campaign, which will begin on March 1, will consist of putting up to 5,000 “Consume Lanzarote” loyalty cards on sale, which customers can purchase through the same website using a digital wallet system that is pioneering in the Canary Islands.

Consumers will have 60€ on each of the cards to spend exclusively in businesses participating in the campaign, and each customer can purchase up to a maximum of 4 cards.

Felapyme will cover 50% of the total value of each card, while the customer will only have to contribute the other 50% of its value. In total, up to 300,000€ will be injected into small local businesses on the island, all within the framework of the business reactivation strategy, which also includes a support and promotion campaign for this sector under the umbrella of “Consume Lanzarote”.

Each business participating in the campaign will be able to redeem up to 6,000€ in “Consume Lanzarote” loyalty cards, which represents direct aid aimed at supporting the sector, one of the most affected by the COVID-19 crisis in the process of recovering from the impact of the pandemic.

This program has the support and funding of the General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands and the collaboration of the commerce area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
