Líneas Romero continues to advance in the renovation and modernization of its fleet with the incorporation of the ferry Juan Jorge R. to the route connecting Playa Blanca and Corralejo, one of the maritime connections with the highest passenger volume in the Canary Islands.

This change, which became effective last July 31, represents a significant improvement in the travel experience, offering passengers a state-of-the-art vessel specifically designed to meet the needs of inter-island routes, where safety, efficiency, and comfort are fundamental aspects.

With 31 meters in length, 10.5 meters in beam, and capacity for 360 passengers, the Juan Jorge R. is equipped with two 1,400 HP engines, capable of reaching a speed of up to 20 knots, ensuring agile and comfortable navigation. Furthermore, its construction in GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) allows for a reduction in the vessel's weight, improved energy efficiency, and optimized hull performance during navigation.

The incorporation of the Juan Jorge R. is part of the modernization process that Líneas Romero has been developing in recent years, with a firm commitment to more efficient, sustainable vessels adapted to the current needs of inter-island maritime transport.

"Our goal is to continue offering an increasingly comfortable, safe, and efficient service. The incorporation of the Juan Jorge R. allows us to improve a strategic route for thousands of residents and visitors who trust us each year to travel between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura," the company highlights.

With this incorporation, Líneas Romero reaffirms its commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, consolidating a modern fleet prepared to respond to the growing demand for maritime mobility in the Canary Islands and continue offering a quality service that connects people, destinations, and opportunities.
