Rancho Texas Park expands its environmental education project with new facilities dedicated to group learning. The park will present these spaces during the Aula Viva workshops, aimed at teachers from Lanzarote, along with the activities it offers free of charge to schools so that students can discover biodiversity and understand the need to conserve it.

The big news is the new classrooms in the Education department, spaces designed for students to explore, participate in group activities, and share their discoveries. In the main classroom, this experience comes to life thanks to several microscopes connected to large screens, which allow the entire group to simultaneously observe the small details of living beings, discuss their findings, and learn from their own questions.

The new spaces are also equipped for laboratory workshops, conferences, and meetings of the educational community. The goal is to offer teachers resources to develop collaborative work and to continue in the classroom the exploration initiated at the park.

The program includes various activities dedicated to biomimicry, a discipline that studies solutions found in nature to apply them to the design of materials and technologies. Students will discover how the forms and strategies of living beings can provide ideas to solve challenges in our daily lives.

Additionally, the project "Think global, act local," linked to Sustainable Development Goal 14, Life Below Water, will continue. This educational program allows participating schools to qualify for the Blue European Schools certificate, which recognizes their commitment to the knowledge and conservation of the oceans.
