The Canary Islands supermarket chain, Hiperdino, has appointed Olivia Llorca, until now Commercial and Operations Director, as the new General Director of the chain.

This is a newly created position in the company, which reports directly to the CEO, Javier Puga, and has the firm support of the company's president, José Abraham Domínguez, and its vice president, Andrés Domínguez.

Olivia Llorca will be in charge of "coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of the company together with her management team and with the support of the Board of Directors".

She assumes the "challenge of continuing to be the leading food chain in the Canary Islands, facing the changing challenges of the sector, such as the evolution of consumer preferences and increasing competition".

Since joining Hiperdino in 2005, Olivia Llorca has held key positions in the company, such as Director of Marketing and Communication, as well as Human Resources and, since 2020, as Commercial and Operations Director, thus consolidating her experience and leadership in various areas of the organization.

Álvaro Fernández Fournier, until now Deputy Director of the Commercial and Operations Department, becomes the new Director, after joining the chain at the beginning of 2023.

The new Commercial and Operations Director has extensive experience in the food sector since 1994, after serving as Head of the Own Brands Area at Continente; Food Director at Carrefour; Commercial, Marketing and Digitalization Director at Alimerka, and Commercial Director at Cash Diplo.
