Entrepreneurs Diego Toribio, from Wonder Experience, which offers personalized tourist experiences in Lanzarote, and Ruth Merino from La Cocinera Saludable, which offers menus for events, have received the awards of the third edition of the Talent Seeds Program promoted by the Employment Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and managed by the Chamber of Commerce.
For one year, the two winners can test the viability of their business ideas, without any economic risk, with professional support and training in business management. This means starting the project without fixed expenses, since they have a free office with access to other facilities for business development where they can network with their colleagues from the Chamber's Business Incubator and train in business management.
"With Semillas de Talento we seek to support women and men from this island who have a business initiative in mind, promoting entrepreneurship and securing local talent," said the Employment Councilor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jorge Peñas, who also highlighted the "high level" of all the initiatives that have been presented this year to the call and specifically of the two selected projects, which "are sure to be talked about."
For his part, José Valle, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, thanked the Cabildo for its support of this initiative, which is being re-edited for the third consecutive year and thanks to which “we can support projects and ideas that would probably be carried out anyway, but with much more effort and difficulty for its protagonists. It is gratifying to be able to support projects of young recent graduates not only from the university but also from the branches of Vocational Training”, he said.

Wonder Experience is a tool to offer personalized tourist experiences. This technological solution unites travelers with local businesses to propose adapted routes and the possibility of accumulating points that can be exchanged for prizes in affiliated businesses. Lanzarote businesses gain visibility and information about the most requested trends to adapt their offer.
The other winning project of the contest is La Cocinera Saludable, a proposal for healthy eating based on vegetable cuisine. Ruth Merino, promoter of the project, offers cuisine for events and online meetings in line with her approach, although she also offers weekly menus at home. She has the purpose of orienting her business to training, through workshops, to promote nutritious food.
