In 2022, HiperDino plans to open 2 stores under the HiperDino brand in Arrecife, specifically in Argana and in the new Open Mall Lanzarote shopping center - the old Garavilla cannery - "in addition to comprehensive renovations such as the HiperDino in the Deiland shopping center", the company confirms to Ekonomus.
The new HiperDino in Argana will have an exhibition and sales area of approximately 3,000 m2 and more than 300 parking spaces on Tenderete street, according to the Alimarket portal.
Openings in the Canary Islands for 2022
The supermarket chain plans to open a total of 5 new establishments in the Canary Islands - 2 of the HiperDino brand, both in Lanzarote, one SuperDino and 2 HiperDino Express - in 2022, in addition to renovating another 8 stores.
Rubén Molowny, technical director of HiperDino, states that "the Action Plan we are working with for this year and the coming years is very ambitious in order to adapt our entire network of stores to the modern image of the company and reach new locations throughout the Canary Islands, which will also lead to the creation of new jobs directly and indirectly."
The islands in which the most important actions will be carried out are Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, mainly due to the square meters that the new establishments and renovations will occupy, and the economic investment allocated to them.
A more efficient model
The company's new store model includes a modern image adapted to current times, with spacious, open and accessible spaces. In addition, humidification and nebulization systems are used in different sections.
To be more respectful of the environment, less polluting materials are used in its construction and an attempt is made to make the most of daylight by placing large windows and, in parallel, efficient lighting is installed.
Natural refrigerants are used in the refrigeration plants and there is an electronic control system for the facilities to optimize consumption and predictive maintenance.
