PRESENTS ITS PROFESSIONAL COURSES FOR BEFORE SUMMER

Academia Náutica Lanzarote achieves a 92% pass rate in the P.E.R. and presents the calendar of professional STCW courses

Last Saturday, May 26, the last call for the Recreational Boat Skipper was held in Lanzarote, with a high participation of applicants from the island.

PER Practices at Academia Náutica Lanzarote and Academia Náutica Bitácora

The students who have passed will finish their mandatory navigation practices next week, as well as the short-range radio course that completes the course.

From that moment on, they will be qualified to handle boats of up to 15 meters in length 12 miles from the coast, and inter-island navigation in the Canary and Balearic archipelagoes.

Optional practices such as the extension of PER to 24 meters in length and sailing qualification practices, will be held on June 9 (extension) and on June 16 and 17 the sailing qualification. However, several practices of these characteristics are carried out per year, as well as monthly one or two Navigation License courses, without the need to form large groups.

Once the qualifications are obtained, students have options to continue sailing on the academy's boats, as well as renting them, at reduced prices.

The next call for Recreational Boat Skipper is scheduled for October 27, 2018 and at Academia Naútica Lanzarote the course will begin on September 3, in two-hour sessions, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

For the Yacht Skipper and Captain courses, you can inquire at the Academy in order to form working groups.

PROFESSIONAL COURSES AND STCW CERTIFICATES

The season is already here and many maritime professionals need to update their professional certificates to be enrolled in the ships of the different companies in the Canary Islands.

At Academia Náutica Lanzarote, the Basic Training in Maritime Safety courses, and its corresponding update, Passenger Ship Certificate and update, and Restricted GMDSS Operator will be taught before August.

From June 11 to 25: Basic Training in Maritime Safety.
June 21, 22 and 25: Update Basic Training in Maritime Safety.
From June 26 to July 2: Passenger Ships.
June 28 and 29: Passenger Ship Update.
From June 21 to 29: Restricted GMDSS Operator.
