The intermediary who gives his name to the "Mediator case", Marco Antonio Navarro Tacoronte, has threatened this Wednesday the president of the PP in the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, with "taking the Los Realejos City Council for a walk", of which the popular leader was mayor, and lthe steps he claims to have taken for that Consistory.
In an interview on Xanadú Radio Tenerife, Navarro Tacoronte reacts in this way when his interlocutor reminds him that Manuel Domínguez has announced that the PP will appear as a plaintiff in the case of alleged corruption that his revelations have uncovered, in which the intermediary is also charged with several crimes.
"If he files a lawsuit against me, we are going to take the Los Realejos City Council for a walk. If he files a lawsuit against me, I have to defend myself," says the "mediator", who maintains that he has negotiated "something" for the Consistory that Manuel Domínguez led from 2011 until last summer, although without revealing it.
Immediately afterwards, he says that he has "met on several occasions outside of Parliament" with the now president of the PP of the Canary Islands to try to explain how this whole matter began because of a "totorota" (fool), as he defines Ángel Pérez, the former Director of Sports of the Cabildo of Tenerife.
As stated in the summary itself, "the Mediator case" opens with the arrest of Navarro Tacoronte, when Ángel Pérez denounces him for a series of charges made on a credit card owned by him.
After passing through the cells, the intermediary defended himself before the judge saying that he could prove that those charges were made with permission and provided as proof a mobile phone with all the messages, recordings and photographs that have now become known and that have ended up splashing an ex-deputy of the PSOE, a former General Director of Livestock of the Government of the Canary Islands and a retired general of the Civil Guard.
In the interview, Navarro Tacoronte also refers to another of the public officials who has announced that he is going to sue him for linking him to his dealings, the mayor of Arona (Tenerife), José Julián Mena (PSOE).
Of him, the intermediary says that he got him half a million euros to finance his electoral campaign in gratitude for a "real estate business" that went well in his municipality.
