Sánchez approves the new state of alarm with the intention of extending it for 6 months

This new state of alarm will have an initial validity of 15 days and establishes, among other measures, a night confinement from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has appeared before the media at the end of the extraordinary Council of Ministers that he has convened for the declaration of a new state of alarm.

Sánchez has explained the scope of the state of alarm approved to stop the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. A majority of autonomous communities have requested this legal figure from the Government to provide legal coverage for the mobility restrictions they plan to implement.
