The escalation of Covid cases in the Canary Islands not only does not stop, but continues to grow exponentially. In the last day alone, 378 new Covid positives have been confirmed in the archipelago, which is double what had been recorded on average until last week and four times more than at the beginning of June.

One more day, the vast majority of cases have been detected in Tenerife, with 248. However, the upward trend in Fuerteventura, which began two weeks ago, and in Gran Canaria for a few days, continues to be confirmed. In the case of the island of Majorera, it has registered 33 positives in 24 hours, while Gran Canaria has added 82.

Even on islands where cases have barely been detected, such as El Hierro, six have been reported this Thursday. For its part, La Palma has added one and La Gomera none. As for Lanzarote, it has registered eight positives.

With these figures, the accumulated incidence in the archipelago has skyrocketed again and now stands at 72.06 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days and 128.91 in 14 days.
