Ciudadanos has sent the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council the document certifying the definitive expulsion of councilor Evelyn Alonso, who supports a motion of censure together with CC and PP to remove the socialist Patricia Hernández from the Mayor's Office.
This was confirmed this Monday by the spokesperson for the Socialist Municipal Group, José Ángel Martín, who announced that this Wednesday an extraordinary Plenary will be held in which Alonso will become a non-attached councilor.
Her colleague and president of the Development Society, Matilde Zambudio (Cs), has stated that, unlike Alonso, she has "never" been a defector or non-attached member and has assured that her former colleague will be "the first defector councilor" and will face the "consequences that this entails", including not receiving financial remuneration.
