The Government of the Canary Islands will appeal to the Supreme Court the order of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands that denies the curfew from 0:30 a.m. to six in the morning on the islands at level 3 and 4.

The president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has stated in Parliament that although he respects the judicial decision, he does not share it, and he alluded to the report favorable to the proposal of the Government of the Canary Islands from the Public Prosecutor's Office with "very forceful" arguments.

In addition, Torres has indicated that this judicial decision is made on the day that the highest number of infections has been recorded in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the pandemic with 638 cases notified in the last 24 hours.
