Canary Islands reports four more deaths in the last 24 hours while daily infections fall to 105

The Canary Islands has registered 105 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago amounts to 92,680, while the deaths rise to 947 by adding four deaths, three of them in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Of the total cases, 12,309 are active (+43), of which 65 are admitted to the ICU (-2), 355 remain hospitalized (+5) and 11,889 are in their homes (+40). In addition, 58 people have been discharged from hospital in the last hours, so that 79,424 canaries have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic.

As for the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at seven days in the Canary Islands drops to 44.95 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days decreases to 111.03 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,027,786 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --3,248 in the last 24 hours--, of which 120,992 were positive, which represents 5.97 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 28 positives, accumulating 44,531 cases, of which 7,562 are epidemiologically active, 539 have died (+3) and 36,430 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 35,448 accumulated (+53), of which 4,361 are active, 323 have died (+1) and 30,764 have been discharged from hospital.

For its part, Lanzarote adds eleven positives, with 6,630 accumulated, of which 147 are active, while it has registered 50 deaths and 6,433 have overcome the disease; and Fuerteventura has 4,141 accumulated cases (+11), of which 216 are active, 16 have died and 3,909 have been discharged from hospital.

La Palma does not add cases in the last day, so it has 1,083 accumulated, of which eleven are active, 14 have died and 1,058 have been discharged from hospital.

Finally, El Hierro has an accumulated of 448 by notifying a contagion, of which five are active, four have died and 439 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera has an accumulated of 398 cases (+1), of which seven are active, one has died and 390 have been discharged from hospital.
