Since last Friday, the Canary Islands has recorded a total of 10 deaths of people with coronavirus, of which seven occurred in Gran Canaria and three in Tenerife. All the people, aged between 65 and 99 years old, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
In addition, new positives for Covid have risen in these four days to 2,925 among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.
Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group amounts to 73,499 people in the Canary Islands. Thus, the Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 1,001.59 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 523.91.
Currently, there are 307 people hospitalized with coronavirus in the archipelago, of which 20 are in the ICU and the rest, 287, are on the ward.
