The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified this Friday 238 new cases of coronavirus and six more deaths, all of them of people "with previous pathologies." The total of accumulated cases of Covid-19 in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the pandemic is 28,809, of which 7,211 are still active. Among them there are 52 admitted to the ICU and 318 hospitalized on the ward.
The Accumulated Incidence (IA) at 7 days is located in the Canary Islands in the 64.27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 133.14 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife has 14,138 accumulated cases, 97 more than the previous day, and 5,186 active; Gran Canaria adds today 69 cases with a total of 11,176 accumulated cases and 1,582 active. Lanzarote adds 48 new cases with 1,798 accumulated and its assets are 254; Fuerteventura has 1,086 accumulated cases by adding 23 more in the last 24 hours and has 114 active.
La Palma adds one case, so its accumulated are 312 and its assets are 34; La Gomera does not register new cases, so its accumulated remain 199 and its assets, 17. Finally, El Hierro, without new cases, has 98 accumulated and 22 active.
Until this Friday, a total of 700,693 PCR tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which only 2,659 correspond to the last 24 hours.
