Canary Islands registers 13 deaths with Covid and 1,899 positives in the last three days

In the archipelago there are 480 people admitted with coronavirus, of which 31 are in ICU and 449 on the ward

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified 13 deaths, eight notified in Tenerife and five in Gran Canaria in the last three days. All the people, aged between 73 and 91, except for a case of 48 years, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

In addition, since the last data update last Tuesday, 1,899 new positives in Covid have been registered in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group amounts to 87,627 people in the Canary Islands. Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 1,656.33 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 785.56.
