Canary Islands has once again added 21 deaths with coronavirus since Tuesday, 14 registered in Gran Canaria and seven in Tenerife. All the people, aged between 68 and 94, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
In addition, Health has reported 803 new new positives in the last three days among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic. Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group amounts to 92,085 people in the archipelago.
Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 891.15 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 341.60. Since July 8, a sustained decrease in the cumulative incidence at 7 days has been observed, when we reached 913 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Currently, there are 383 people admitted with coronavirus in the Canary Islands, of which 30 are in the ICU and the rest, 353, are on the ward.
