Canary Islands adds 131 positives and two deaths in the last day

The Cumulative Incidence at seven days in the Canary Islands drops to 47.43 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days decreases to 115.81 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 131 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago amounts to 92,575, while the deaths rise to 943 by adding two deaths, one in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Of the total cases, 12,266 are active (+26), of which 67 are admitted to the ICU (-3), 350 remain hospitalized (-4) and 11,849 are in their homes (+33). In addition, 103 people have been discharged from hospital in the last hours, so that 79,366 canaries have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic.

As for the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at seven days in the Canary Islands drops to 47.43 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days decreases to 115.81 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,024,538 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --4,601 in the last 24 hours--, of which 120,821 were positive, which represents 5.97 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 44 positives, accumulating 44,503 cases, of which 7,559 are epidemiologically active, 536 have died (+1) and 36,408 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 35,395 accumulated (+66), of which 4,334 are active, 322 have died (+1) and 30,739 have been discharged from hospital.

For its part, Lanzarote adds six positives, with 6,619 accumulated, of which 144 are active, while it has registered 51 deaths and 6,425 have overcome the disease; and Fuerteventura has 4,130 accumulated cases (+15), of which 205 are active, 16 have died and 3,909 have been discharged from hospital.

La Palma does not add cases in the last day, so it has 1,083 accumulated, of which 14 are active, 14 have died and 1,055 have been discharged from hospital.

Finally, El Hierro has an accumulated of 447 by not reporting infections, of which four are active, four have died and 439 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera has an accumulated of 397 cases (without variation), of which six are active, one has died and 390 have been discharged from hospital.
