Canarias regrets 10 deaths from Covid in four days and adds 1,951 new positives

Canarias has added a total of ten people who have died from coronavirus since last Friday, five of them in Gran Canaria and the other five in Tenerife. All the people, aged between 69 and 90 years old, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

In addition, the Ministry of Health has notified a total of 1,951 new positives for Covid-19 among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

Therefore, the accumulated number of coronavirus cases among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to 81,337 people. Thus, the Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 1,371.86 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 760.93.
