The Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested a 45-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a gender violence crime, for stabbing and seriously injuring his partner, a 36-year-old woman, according to sources from the Corps.
The events occurred in the Miramar neighborhood, in Ofra, following a notice to the operations room of the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2 reporting a possible stabbing of a woman inside a home.
According to sources from the Local Police, apparently the aggression occurred in front of the victim's three children, two 8-year-old boys and a 7-year-old girl, and in the family home, a rented house.
After the stabbing, the aggressor fled the scene and the Local Police found him inside his vehicle after conducting a search of the surrounding area, proceeding to his arrest and transferring him to a hospital for review.
The woman had serious stab wounds and was transferred to the Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital. Her children were taken to police facilities, notifying relatives to take care of them and the victim assistance device. It is unknown if there were previous complaints.
