Some residents denounce the "continuous accidents" that occur in the central area of the capital. This Monday they have contacted La Voz to express their "concern" and to request the "study of the pedestrianization or change of direction" of one of the sections of Alegranza street.

"Accidents have been repeated for several weeks in the area," they say. According to reports, this Monday a driver has "run a stop sign" and has automatically "fled." In addition, they recall that about "three weeks" ago, a minor child was "run over while riding his scooter (in this case due to the child's imprudence)." "There are quite a few accidents at this road intersection, it could be verified at the Arrecife Local Police station," they make clear.

Citizens suggest that the Arrecife City Council look for a "solution", which for them would not cause much inconvenience. "We believe that pedestrianizing this section would not cause much disruption to road traffic. In addition, its parallel street is already pedestrianized, Pje. Julio Blancas street," they highlight. They also confirm that they have submitted their "complaint" in writing in a submission to the Electronic Headquarters of the Arrecife City Council.

Finally, they point out that "the most alarming thing is that it happens when there are pedestrians and the severity is greater."
