A resident of Puerto del Carmen has contacted La Voz to report the "incredible situation" of Pedro Barba street, sending several photographs to illustrate it. They reflect the accumulation of garbage outside the containers, in a scene that he assures is repeated daily.
"This is the picture every day at 5 in the afternoon, so I'll let you imagine what it's like later," he warns. This neighbor emphasizes that this occurs "just 50 meters" from the avenue of the beaches of Puerto del Carmen. "A wonderful advertisement for tourist quality and for the City Council," he ironizes.

According to this neighbor, "the culprits are the restaurants near the Casino", who leave the garbage in this way and "throwing everything on the ground, without noticing that there are people living very close". In addition, he believes that "the problem will surely not be solved with the compactors, which after six months are still not located".
In his opinion, this "is a matter of civic education", and demands that the City Council act. He laments that although they have notified both the Consistory and the Local Police, they have not yet intervened.
