A resident of Arrecife has publicly exposed the poor condition of the gardens of Las Coloradas, in the coastal town of Playa Blanca, in the municipality of Yaiza.
The citizen exposes the current situation of these spaces, despite the fact that the Yaiza council received the partial plans of Playa Blanca "before the municipal elections of 2023" and that, "since then it has to take care of its maintenance", cleaning, lighting and gardens.
Thus, she added that the City Council, "a year later does not remember the gardens and palm leaves, weeds and dirt accumulate throughout the urbanization."
In addition, she insisted that "in all the year they have not come even once to prune and clean the gardens." According to her testimony, this situation has been brought to the attention of the southern council through the Green Line application, made available by the City Council to establish a line of connection with the residents. "We have submitted several individual and collective claims without any result," she stressed.
The neighbor added that as it is a residential and tourist area, the image offered is "third world. It must be taken into account that this area is one of the most prestigious." She also highlighted that there is no trash can in the urbanization.
