A reader has contacted La Voz to report the presence of rubble and garbage on one of the trails that runs to the Las Grietas area, in Tías.
According to him, "since at least May 17, 2023, there has been an illegal dump in the area, as can be seen in the images, but unfortunately, the situation has not only not improved, but has worsened considerably because there is more garbage accumulated right in front of the first dump that there was."
"This problem has been communicated on numerous occasions to the Tías City Council, both by email and through the Línea Verde application, but we have not received any response nor has any action been taken," the reader assures. However, part of the maintenance of these trails also belongs to the Cabildo of Lanzarote, not only to the Council.
Likewise, the neighbor asks to "make this situation visible in order to demand an immediate solution to clean and protect this natural environment of Lanzarote."
