A reader has contacted La Voz to denounce the delay in the improvement works in the classrooms of the Playa Honda school, which do not allow, for the second consecutive year, their children to attend the center.
According to one of the mothers, "they have spent the two months of summer with hardly any progress and in the visit of mothers and fathers that we had last Thursday, there was only one person from the bidding company working on the construction," she says. In addition, last year, the children who were going to start 2-year-old kindergarten at the center, despite having enrolled, finally could not start.
"This year things seem to be starting badly as well, since the school's management informs us that they will summon us at the end of September to inform us of the 'progress', without giving us any assurance of any start date and seeing the slowness of the bidding company," says the affected party.
These families were already counting on their children starting classes this Monday, but it has not been the case. "Now we find ourselves at the last minute looking for solutions and 'juggling' to be able to leave our children cared for while we work, without knowing until when and also assuming an extra unplanned monetary outlay in case we have to leave them in nurseries," she laments.
