A resident of Caleta de Famara has contacted La Voz to denounce the "saturation" in recycling containers "in the last week" with the aim of those responsible "getting their act together for the good of all".
"The glass remains, but bottles and other plastics must already be flying all over the island, as they were piled up next to the containers," says this woman, who wonders "what will happen when there are more people in the area" if this has happened "before the big weekend of the festivities".
And, this neighbor considers that if this saturation "is due to the greater influx of people, it is easily foreseeable and the collection services could be reinforced to avoid reaching these extremes."
