The owner of a small restaurant has contacted La Voz to denounce the lack of revitalization in the Arrecife historic center area.

In this sense, the hotelier affirms that "I do not believe that the modus operandi of the mayor, Yonathan de León, is helping the businessmen and self-employed in the historical, Charco and commercial area to generate more income these days, rather, the opposite is happening."

"The new area of typical stalls that is located in front of the technical office of the City Council monopolizes all the attention of the citizen or visitor, since there is live music and a festive atmosphere until late at night. Throughout life, and in all towns and cities, the main festivals are held in the main streets, squares and avenues of the city," he points out.

Therefore, the citizen believes that "both the leisure and restaurant area of the Charco area and the Plaza de Las Palmas would be delighted if, during the almost two weeks that the festivities last, we were included in the plans and we were counted on to participate in the events and thus share with the people what belongs to the people."

Likewise, he proposes that "if the restaurant sector and the spaces that we already have are taken into account, with the approval of the Department of Urban Planning and Infrastructure, something more permissive could be done with schedules and decibels from certain hours of the morning."

In short, the hotelier points out "that if the areas where there are already businesses were revitalized, perhaps the businesses and companies that pay their taxes could also benefit a little."
