A reader has contacted La Voz to report the situation of children at a school in Lanzarote due to the imminent termination of the contract for educational technicians and assistants who care for these students.

According to this mother of a two-year-old girl, the contract of these professionals will end on December 31st "because they were hired with European funds and they don't want to renew them." "Our children will pay because of the mismanagement," she assures.

"This means that **when classes resume, our children will find strangers** or the tutor will be alone with 2-year-olds. It's not fair to them, and even less so to our children who have already formed a bond with them, and it would mean a new adaptation process," she states.

Therefore, the parents are asking that "at least they let us finish the school year with our children because the Ministry of Education does not look out for our children's well-being, only for their pockets. We do not want our technicians and assistants to leave. Neither they nor our children deserve it".
