A week ago, Emiliano Cabrera was walking along the coastal area between the Las Breñas treatment plant and the abandoned hotel, in the south of the island. There he found an "incredible amount of garbage, mattresses, shoes, books, appliances and clothing."
This neighbor assures that the image of this Los Charcones area of Playa Blanca is "lamentable for everyone" but, specifically, for "the countless tourists who hike through that area." "The image is third world," he lamented.
This reader has sent a photograph to La Voz to show this "lamentable image" and so that "the politicians of Yaiza are ashamed."
