A reader reports that dozens of gym machines and weight training equipment from the Argana Alta pavilion are being "thrown away". This sports space has been closed for more than ten years, having been closed for operating without an opening license.
In addition, its execution was involved in the Jable case, a corruption plot that condemned the former mayor of Arrecife, Isabel Déniz, the then secretary of the City Council Felipe Fernández Camero and the head of the Technical Office, among others.
"Is nothing here useful?", an angry reader asks, while a truck from Recimetal, a company that buys and sells materials and waste, loads exercise bikes, treadmills and other gym machines into the trailer.
In another of the videos that have reached La Voz, you can see dumbbells and other elements that have been thrown away and delivered to the same company.
The Arrecife City Council promised in November 2023, after ten years of closure, that by the autumn of this year this space would be operational again. Already then it could be seen how part of the ceilings had fallen, the leaks damaged the space or the state of the furniture.
"Not even fix it with a little oil, how strong, all this bought that was never used," he concluded.
