A reader has contacted La Voz to report the collapse of the Famara windmill road due to the sand that still obstructs access to the bungalows. Due to this, all cars have to access through the same place, which causes long queues.
This situation has been occurring since the strong winds hit this area a little over a week ago, reaching gusts of over 100 kilometers per hour. The machinery of the municipal services removed a large part of that sand, except for this road that passes right next to the Famara windmill.
"This is chaos at the entrance, I encountered a truck that couldn't turn around and I had to reverse my car," says the reader. Furthermore, he says that "the queue of cars stretched from the bungalows to the intersection."
The citizen also criticizes the poor condition of the road. "The road is destroyed and the residents are wondering how long we are going to continue like this," he indicates. To this situation is also added "the badly parked cars that narrow the road."
The reader concludes by saying that "there is no law or anything here, it is a disgrace", so he asks for a solution to end the long queues and facilitate access to this area that "is an avenue, a campsite, a surf school and a road."
