A reader has contacted La Voz to denounce the noise caused by a restaurant, located in Arrecife. According to the neighbor who lives right next door, the noises are continuous from Tuesday to Sunday until two in the morning interfere with the rest of the neighbors located in this area.

The woman assures that "it is a bar-restaurant but rather it looks like a disco because the scandal happens day after day, you have to come and see it so that they truly know the seriousness of the matter."

In addition, the reader states that "one of the pedestrian streets that are next to the restaurant they use it to stack tables and chairs and that, in addition, it is filled with people at night because they serve drinks to people who don't even have a table and who are sitting on the wall of El Charco."

At night, not only noises create discomfort, but also "urine, feces and garbage that many of the clients leave on the pedestrian street," she criticizes.

"The only good thing they have done when I went to speak in person with the mayor was to put two bollards on that pedestrian street so that cars do not enter where even the owners of this place entered because years ago they parked in front of my house when I was coming from the emergency room with my little daughter and I couldn't enter my house because I couldn't even jump over the car and I had to stay waiting outside," she declares.

"We all like a party but not every day because there are people who have to work and children who have to go to school and it is impossible," she denounces. Likewise, this neighbor has sent her complaints to the Arrecife City Council for years "but has not received a response."

The woman also asks that "local police have a sound level meter so they can measure the noise that there is at night and that lasts until dawn on weekdays." "Even during the pandemic, the premises opened until three in the morning when it was not allowed and the City Council informed us that they supposedly paid the fines they were given," she says.

On the other hand, the woman assures that in her street she has seen "high-end cars of young people where there is drug dealing," says the neighbor.

"We all have rights so that the law is respected and if we pay taxes it is to do what must be done and if we have to go through the courts or talk to the Deputy of the Common so that it is solved, we will do it," concludes the neighbor.
